In this article, we are going to talk about the Top 10 Dragon Ball Villians we love to hate the year 2020. As you know nobody loves villains.
Dragon Ball universe is full of all kinds of characters. We’ve got a whole bunch of different personalities that give originality to the show. That’s one of the things that makes Dragon Ball so unique and likable in the first place. With good comes evil, with joy, comes grief, with wins, comes losses. There are always two sides to a coin, to a picture. A universe where everything is good, everyone is righteous just doesn’t exist. It never will. For it’s the balance that keeps the world, the universe in place. That balance is necessary for and serves as the foundation to existence in the first place. We all know how many memories Dragon Ball has given us since the beginning of it’s runtime. Most of them good for sure. But there were times when characters were pissing us off for doing all that stuff, going overboard at times too. Those were the villains, of course, the bad guys. Bad guys need to exist. Whose ass would get kicked otherwise huh? Lol. We all have that one villain we hate from the bottom of our hearts and seeing him again makes us remember what he did in the past. Leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for sure. So here’s my list of the Top 10 Dragon Ball Villains We Love to Hate ever since the beginning of the series. You’ll agree with most of the ones on this list for sure. So what are we waiting for? Let’s dive right into it.

10. Raditz
This long-haired kid who just appeared out of nowhere one day and started going on and on about the thing that Goku hates the most. Kakarot, Kakarot, and more kakarot. From the moment he was introduced I know he going to be a douche for sure. He cleared all my doubts when he returned the bullet to the farmer, paying him back in full with the interest of course. His power level was exhibited by the fact how he was able to become the gunpowder itself, tossing the bullet making it go even faster than the gun itself. That moment, the gun be like, ‘Am I a joke to you?’ The scouter was first introduced with Raditz as well, making us well known of how these contact lenses work. I grew to hate him more and more as time went by. The thing that pissed me off the most is how he comes by to Kame’s house to say hello. Not in the slightest that is. He confronts Goku and starts going on and on about being his brother and planet Vegeta and how they’re ‘Saiyans’ being a fighter class race whose only purpose is to demonstrate their strengths to the rest of the universe. But, he crossed the line when he kidnapped the kid, Gohan, and held him hostage for Goku to come to fight him. That’s playing dirty for sure. He pays no heed to the boy as he cries himself to remember the fact, the iron belief that his father will come by to save him.

9. Nappa
As if his grown-up looks weren’t enough to have him repulsive and make us disdain the character. I don’t know about others but his mustache sure rubs me off the wrong way angel. His cocky attitude of how he thinks he’s the best fighter in the universe only second to Vegeta to his proposal of having everyone come at him at once. Man, he’s a pride ball now, isn’t he? And with not the goods to back it up at all. Sure he kicked ass and delivered some grave blows to the Z warriors, killing Yamcha as well but that’s nothing new right? He dies like every next episode even if he isn’t in the episode. The only time we see him is on the King Kai planet, training. Chiaotzu sacrificed himself only to buy us more time so it’s not his power being demonstrated at this point. He sure ran wild and destroyed a bunch of airplanes as well. Thank god he didn’t have a super Saiyan transformation cause no one would like to see those bleached mustaches even if given a 100 bucks for it.

8. Zarbon
Don’t let his looks fool you, he’s a monster on the inside and soon on the outside as well. In the beginning, when he was introduced, I remember how all the ladies were fangirling all over him. Girls didn’t stop going on and on about how beautiful he is and stuff. Akira sure made him that way too. But the thing about him is that he’s cocky for no reason at all. He’s weak, not strong even in the slightest. Moreover, when he wasn’t able to draw out the power needed to fight, he went on and showed us his bizarre alligator form that made everyone change their opinions and think otherwise. That scene where his scouter broke cause of the power level was really dope and it made me feel satisfied for a second. Still sad that those glass fragments didn’t end up in his eye. I know, I’m being vicious and a little too brutal here but it’s the inner me speaking the truth. I hate that character. But at least in the alligator form he showed us a good fight and made him screen time worth it during his final moments. He was the clear example of beauty with no brains, later on, no beauty with no brains.

7. Janemba
Fusion Reborn is like the forgotten realm of the Dragon Ball Villains niverse. That movie is so underrated that not many people know about the villain I’m going to discuss. Janemba, the only true villain we saw in the afterlife. In the beginning, it’s a good old peaceful Dragon Ball. Not much happening here and there other than just those regular trains that snake way is known for. Pikkon, another underrated character is shown to have been ordered to see something strange that’s been going on there in the shadows. As mighty and fearless of a warrior he is, he proceeds and carries out his duties, orders he always seemed to upheld first and foremost. Janemba at first is shown to be all cute, fluffy, a bouncy ball to be exact in all means. He isn’t shown to be hostile at all compared to what he is when his true colors are revealed later on. Later on, with the transformation, just his face is enough to make you go all those funny faces that are unintentional of course. He has that look of a person, a person with, ‘I’m up to no good at all’ written all over him. To top it all off, he’s ruthless and merciless to the very core, not a shred of sense or well being seen even knowing that he’s in the afterlife. His shrieks and how he chants all those attacks make one angry as well. But Gogeta was there to save the day and that in the literal sense as well. He exterminated him with the most ease he could ever have practiced and seen him getting beat was satisfying. No sadism or anything intended lol. Sure he introduced some cool attacks, some we never had seen before and given us a good sight. But this doesn’t change the fact or makes him cleansed of all his sins or anything.

6. Dr. Gero
No one hates doctors for they’re the beacon of lights, the hands that tend to the weak and unhealthy to make them feel rejuvenated and alive once again. But don’t let this doctor fool you in case you aren’t familiar with the character. To start things off, he’s with Red Ribbon. That rings some bells, doesn’t it? Hint, it’s from Dragon Ball Villains. Yes, you guessed it right, they’re the ones wrecking all kinds of havoc back, in the beginning, keeping lil old Goku occupied and busy all the time. It’s as if someone iced his face instead of the birthday cake while wearing sunglasses cause they’re too bright even for themselves. He has that face, that sinister face that makes one hate him from the beginning, moreover, he’s responsible for so many deaths that happened there in the west city, both in the past and the future. He’s responsible for making Trunks go back and forth in time, with the burdens weighing him deeper and deeper into thinking that he wasn’t good enough and wasn’t able to save anyone cause he was weak. Because of him, an entire timeline is screwed and wouldn’t be the same for a long time. From the androids to the cell, this man is responsible for each and everyone for them. He did get a taste of his own medicine when he freed the androids from the pods, just to get his head kicked off in an instant. Talk about getting destroyed by your creation the moment it’s born.

5. Bio Broly
Don’t get me wrong, Broly is one of the best characters not only in Dragon Ball Villains ut in all of anime. Everything about him is perfect and makes you fall in love with the character right away. But not this Biological version we’re talking about here. This movie was unnecessary. Broly’s second coming was uncalled for since he massacred everyone in the first movie and was remembered as a legend by most of the fans. But, the second coming had some pretty good fighting scenes and action makes the most part to why Dragon Ball is so famous and hyped since the beginning. Furthermore, it was second coming itself that introduced us to an even more epic version of the attack that got us filled with Adrenaline in the Cell games arc, The Father-Son Kamehameha transforming into the Father-Son Son Kamehameha. So cool. But in this movie, Broly is reduced to nothing in its pure sense. He isn’t even the same character. Just a ball of slime that’s out of Slime Ranch making people who’re not familiar with the original character think Broly fans got some screws loose or something. I’m not the only one in this I’m sure. This movie was really not thought out I guess since Broly was undermined and it’s as if Akira wanted Broly to be forgotten by this movie. Good thing Broly was revived and made one of the best comebacks anime has ever seen with the new movie, introducing Broly to the whole world once again and making the old Broly alive once again in the hearts of our old fans.

4. The Dragon Ball Villains of Zamasu
The mastermind that the CIA has been looking for since he was introduced in his own arc, Zamasu himself. This character is like 400 IQ made into an anime character, standing up to the likes of Yagami Light and L, the epitome of intellect when it comes to anime. This man killed his master, got those time rings to travel in time, got the Dragon Ball Villains, Super ones at that as well, Made that immortality wish to get it granted right away, went back in time again to get Goku’s body, had his soul into his body, shifted timelines again to be together. Now you get what I’m talking about now don’t you. From the way he talks, the god complex he had from the beginning to how he belittles everyone and their strengths, immortality got a hold of him good. Considering others as being mere pests in front of him, he wants a world, a whole universe as well in which he commands everything and has everything go and everyone go on according to his own desires. As if that green color and that mohawk weren’t enough to make us think about the combination not going well together at all. He destroyed the timeline and almost eradicated humanity. Poor Trunks, he has it hard all the time. His time isn’t right anytime.

3. Cooler
As if Frieza wasn’t enough to make us hate aliens and think that all those movies are true. Cooler is like Frieza, but his evil and wrong doing couldn’t shine much since he had a short runtime. He missed his shot from gathering a bunch of fans I guess. But he sure has his own Ginyu force, a posse who’s always on his beck and call. He just shows up all of a sudden, wanting to take Earth and meet Goku. Everyone wants to fight Goku all the time, Mr. Hollywood spotted right away. I loved his dialogue when Goku warns Gohan and tells him to get out of here is all like, ‘This is not the right place for you Gohan!’ But our man got the best comeback all set up, guns and bullets armed and ready. He replies with one of the sickest lines in the entirety of Dragon Ball Villains, ‘This is not the right place for anyone right now’. Damn he got some lines readied up. The huge difference from them also comes from the fact that his normal form is like Frieza’s final form and Goku gets astounded and perplexed when he finds out that he’s got another form ready to be unleashed from the shackles. That’s about it when it comes to his sick and savage side. He fatally wounds our boy Piccolo and his henchman Salza is about to kill each and every one of the Z warriors. Delusional, delusional, delusional.

2. Super Buu
Babidi and Dabora weren’t enough. A third one had to debut to complete the trio, the trio that’d feed people’s anger and frustration. Buu in the beginning was like a child, Bo from Sen to Chihiro no Kamikushi making a pretty good resemblance when it came to the character. But, everything went by a number of notches when he unleashed the super form that he had to work out in the gym for 5 years to pull off. Man, hard work sure pays off now doesn’t it. He came up all slick, having that physique that made the ladies turn a blind eye to his antenna. He has all there is to a woman’s heart, the pink color being the thing that stands out the most. But, ladies be aware for he isn’t as nice and gentle as the pink color is known for since the past. He tries and is successful to kill most of the characters, even new powered ones at that as well since his power is like limitless and knows no bounds. All characters got power spikes and were ready to make the perfect return with those amazing fight scenes but weren’t able to pull it off since he’s got the absorb, making Ginyu having doubts about his Body changeability.

1. Frieza the best of Dragon Ball Villains
I’m sure everyone agrees with me on this one even if you weren’t with me since the beginning. This name is enough to get us irritated and bad mouth the character since he’s done bad ever since he was a child. From destroying planet Vegeta after using those Saiyans as slaves all his life, making Goku and Vegeta lose their parents and having the Saiyan race exterminated from the face of the universe to arriving at Namek just to repeat all that. Any episode with this character is sure to include some questionable scenes since he’s never up to any good and is always up to things that no one would’ve thought anyone would go to the lengths of. He keeps making a comeback with those mecha form and even now first with the movie and later with the Dragon Ball Villians. His death beam and planet destroyer are one of his signature moves, serving as the last scene a human and a planet sees for the former and latter respectively. He’s the epitome of villains in the whole anime universe and without a doubt is included in the top three when it comes to the most hateful bad guys in anime of all time.
